Today’s idea is how to create a Top Posts Review.
The problem with blogging regularly for your business is that sometimes your best blog posts and most-shared content gets buried over time as you continue to publish more and more content. So, as a marketer, it’s your job to implement a promotion strategy that keep these posts alive.
One great way to extend the life of your blog posts is by creating what I call a Top Posts Review, which is simply a compilation of your best and most shared blog posts from a particular time period. It could also include your most commented on social posts from the same period.
Lots of businesses publish this type of post, not because they’re interested in blowing their own horn, but because it’s a great way to get their best and most well-received content in front of new readers and potential customers.
Here’s my 3-steps to creating your own Top Posts Review:
- Compile a list of posts that received the highest traffic or engagement during a particular period of time. Or, you could compile a list of top posts that all relate to the same topic.
- Decide how you want to share your list. For example, you could write a blog post, send out an email, or make an infographic, and start to create your Review. Write an interesting introduction that pulls readers in and keeps them reading. And add a 1-2 sentence summary for each post you include.
- Publish your Top Post Review, making it easy for people to share by adding social buttons or links.
Pro-Tip: Include your review in the welcome emails you send out to new customers, boost it on Facebook and include a link to it in your email signature.
