Geoff Harris is one of the original founders (and still current owners) of Flight Centre … one of the world’s largest travel agents. Certainly Australia’s largest by a long shot. I shared a small part of this interview about 6-months ago. It was part of another series of interviews I intended doing with creators of iconic Australian brands. Alas, time wont allow me to indulge in that idea, so I’m releasing these interviews on the Small Business Big Marketing show. It is great to hear the stories of small business making through the various stages and growing to a large multi-national… Truly inspirational stuff.
Something that resonated is the importance of getting and retaining good people, this has been a common theme in other interviews, and I recall another great businessman (top marks if you know who) saying that the top 3 secrets to his success is people, people, people…
So with that in mind, what is the secret to moving beyond the soloprenuer or small team and really hitting that next stage of growth?
Perhaps this can be the topic of a future podcast?
