Throwing cows from helicopters, setting Guinness World Records, marriage proposals to customers and police calls to turn off the bubble machines – this is just some of the remarkable marketing that today’s guest undertakes. Oh, BTW, the cows were stuffed ;0)

“It’s not our responsibility to worry if people think we’re stupid for asking…it’s our responsibility to ask” …we all know that we should be more proactive but sometimes it takes someone phrasing it in the right way. This angle is helping me get over my fear of asking people who are influential in my industry and actually catapults me into connecting with what’s important. I’ve been getting into chasing discomfort but this takes it to a whole new level. Brilliant (and I hate fast food!)
Never, ever be afraid to ask, Harriet. This is a common thread amongst so many of my guests.
As a franchisee, I hope old Art gets some assistance from head office for funding his promotions. Seems as though he does more for the brand than the brand does for him.
Interesting that franchisee’s typically pay marketing rebates to the franchisor to promote the brand but he still needs to do more for himself?
On the other hand the furore that was created by the head office/master franchisor for a major Australian pizza chain caused by promoting $5 everyday pizzas suggests that it is very important for franchisees to ensure they are adequately and fairly represented at head office.
Good point, Badger. Let’s see what Arthur has to say.
