Deus ex Machina founder Dare Jennings attributes understanding local cultures to his global business success | #597 (PodFerence)

Today, we meet Dare Jennings, the founder of not one, but two, iconic Australian brands. Mambo. And Deus ex Machina. Drop the mic! It’s a wonderfully Aussie episode 597 of The (13 year-old, award-winning) Small Business Big Marketing podcast.

A little more about Mambo & Deus ex Machina founder Dare Jennings  …

I’m so excited to bring this interview to you.

And to be honest, I really don’t think Dare Jennings needs any long introduction.

He founded the iconic, irreverent and highly collectible Aussie surf-brand Mambo, which he sold in 2000, made a lot of coin and moved on to his next endeavour, Deus ex Machina, where he combined his love of motorbikes, surfing, and music, to create a business that has stores in Australia, America, Asia, Europe and Africa.

So sit back as Dare explains how he uses culture to build incredible, sustainable, and loved businesses. And most importantly, why trying to be everything to everyone is a wonderful recipe for failure.

We start with Dare responding to my suggestion that he used to be a small business owner!
