crazy marketing ideas

250 – Long live the marketing crazies

What do a condom marketer, an ex Aussie Rules football legend, the vice-captain of the Australian Soduko team and an engineer turned YouTube star with ADHD have in common? They’re all very clever marketers building solid businesses, and they’ve been past guests on this show.

With 250 episodes now under my belt, I thought it time that we start to revisit some of those episodes and pull out some of the learnings that you may have forgotten or are yet to hear.

So, that’s exactly what I’ve done. Enjoy ?

Building a strong personal brand has had far-reaching benefits for Clarissa Rayward, AKA The Happy Family Lawyer. Whilst she’s the first to admit that her approach to marketing is highly unconventional, it’s also enabled her to build a highly engaged community, find her voice and build a strong legal practice many lawyers only ever dream of.

Plus, there’s my usual check-in on what’s been happening this week, and I’m proud to announce a brand spanking new sponsor in Key Person Of Influence – which means for you two things – 1. generous businesses

245 – How generous businesses are winning more customers

Generous businesses win. Period. Now whilst greed may have been good way back in the heady 1980’s (geez I loved the 80s!), these days it’s businesses that give, that are generous, that are building a tribe of loyal, long time customers. And as a result, they’re booming.

So in today’s episode of Australia’s favourite marketing podcast, Andrew Griffiths and I get together for another instalment of Funny Business, in which we take a deep dive in to how generous businesses are rewriting the rules of marketing for this decade and beyond. Enjoy!
